Contract (C-91-005-21) OMEGA:

Job No. C-91-005-21, I-57 South of I-294 (Tri-State Tollway) to IL 1 (Halsted St.), Phase III Project, Cook County, Region One/District One. Phase III engineering was required to provide construction inspection services for subject improvement. Work included, but was not limited to, hot-mix asphalt milling and standard overlay with hot-mix asphalt surface and binder course for all mainline lanes and shoulders. The project also included pavement patching, sinkhole repairs, new drainage structures, intelligent transportation systems (ITS) upgrades, retaining wall repairs and sign panel replacement. Concrete deck sealing at the following bridges was also included in this contract.

Contract C-91-182-10 (CDM Smith):

Job No. C-91-182-10, Rand Rd at Des Plaines River, Phase III Project, Cook County, Region One/District One. Phase III engineering is required to provide construction inspection services for the improvement of Rand Rd at Des Plaines River. Work includes, but is not limited to, a complete structure replacement (steel beam), widening and reconstruction of Rand Road from a 4-lane to a 5-lane section, reconstruction of combination concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk, multi-use path construction and traffic signal modernization at Ballard Road and at Elk Blvd. The bridge will have a 3- span continuous steel beam superstructure with an 8-inch concrete deck supported on open (integral) abutments and solid wall encased piers. The structure will be lengthened to increase the hydraulic opening. The bridge cross section will be widened to match the proposed roadway section. A 5-foot sidewalk will be provided on the north side and a 10-foot multiuse path will be provided on the south side of the structure. To meet the proposed roadway profile raise at the bridge the adjacent roadway will be reconstructed between just west of Hawthorne Lane to just east of Ballard Road. Any and all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the improvement

Job No. C-91-239-15, IL 132 (Grand Ave) Dry Land Bridge E of Cedar Lake Rd, Phase III Project, Lake County, Region One/District One. Current Phase III engineering is required to provide construction inspection services for the above subject improvement. Work includes, but is not limited to, widening, and resurfacing the roadway to a cross section of 3-lanes with one lane in each direction and a continuous Two Way Left Turn Lane which is consistent with adjacent sections of IL Route 132. The existing Dry Land Bridge within the project limits will also be reconstructed and the acquisition of ROW, temporary easements, earthwork, curb and gutter, sidewalk, and will also be constructed, any and all incidental and collateral

Job No. C-91-273-14, I-90/94 at I-290/Congress Parkway (Jane Byrne Interchange)– Miscellaneous Interchange Ramps at Various Locations to I-90/94 Northbound, Phase III Project, Cook County, Region One/District One. Phase III engineering services was required for construction inspection for the improvement of I90/94 at I-290/Congress Pkwy (Jane Byrne Interchange) – Miscellaneous Interchange Ramps at Various Locations. The work included, but was not limited to, removal and reconstruction of miscellaneous Jane Byrne interchange ramps at various locations including Ramp West to South (WS), Ramp South to East (SE), the Taylor Bypass Ramp (new), Eastbound I-290 Exit Ramp to Taylor Street, and portions of Ramp East to South (ES) and the Westbound Congress Viaduct Bridge, construction of five retaining walls as well as modifications to one existing retaining wall, roadway reconstruction, erosion control and protection, air quality monitoring, utility relocation of existing storm sewers, special waste excavation, earth excavation, embankment, roadway and underpass lighting, ITS, pavement marking, overhead sign structures, traffic control and protection, etc.

Contract C-91-280-14 (OMEGA):

Job No. C-91-280-14/C-91-310-15, I-90 at I-290/Congress Parkway (Jane Byrne Interchange) – I- 90/94 (NB): Roosevelt Road to Lake/Madison Street & High Mast Lighting & Intelligent Transportation Systems, Phase III Project, Cook County, Region One/District One. Past Phase III engineering was required to provide construction inspection services for the improvement of -I-90 at I-290/Congress Parkway (Jane Byrne Interchange) – I-90/94 (NB): Roosevelt Road to Lake/Madison Street & High Mast Lighting & Intelligent Transportation Systems. Work included, but was not limited to, the total reconstruction of the Kennedy Expressway( I-90/94) Northbound mainline to 4 through lanes between Roosevelt Road and Lake and Madison Streets in the City of Chicago using Continuously Reinforced Concrete Pavement (CRCC) for the mainline lanes and Portland Cement Concrete Jointed Pavement (PCC) for the ramps and tapers , construction of 6 new concrete retaining walls and repairs of 4 existing concrete retaining walls within the corridor, resurfacing the transition area at the north end of the expressway reconstruction limit, construction of a two-lane Collector Distributor (C- D) roadway with shoulder within the limits of the project along the east side, overhead signing, roadway lighting, ITS, drainage & pavement markings, lighting and ITS work within the entire Jane Byrne Interchange corridor along I-90/94 and I-290 including the approaches to the corridor from all directions for the necessary lighting and ITS transitions. The scope involves retrofitting 10 existing High Mast Light Towers to remain and replacing their luminaires from HPS to LED, retrofit 4 light towers with 26 new luminaires from HPS to LED, retrofit other luminaires to LED within the corridor, install new LED luminaires for 6 underpass lighting locations previously completed as part of the Jane Byrne Interchange other contracts, upgrade 5 underpass new locations to LED for Roosevelt, Madison , Washington, Randolph and Lake Streets, replace four existing lighting controllers , replace the temporary ITS network and infrastructure including construction of a new Communications Hut at the interchange.

Contract C-91-309-12 (d'Escoto):

Job No. C-91-309-12, IL 47 at Main Street South of Elburn, Phase III Project, Kane County, Region One/District One. Past Phase III engineering services was required for construction inspection for the improvement of IL 47 and Main Street intersection to provide a left turn lane on all legs of the intersection. The improvement also included resurfacing, reconstructing, and raising the profile of the intersection and traffic signal installation. The multiple cell box culvert carrying IL 47 over Blackberry Creek and the bridge carrying Main Street over Blackberry Creek have been removed and replaced.

Contract C-91-410-19 (GSG Consultant) :

Job No. C-91-410-19, I-90 at I-290/Congress Parkway Jane Byrne Interchange – Jackson Boulevard Advanced Work, Phase III Engineering Services, Cook County, Region One/District One. past Phase III engineering was required to provide construction inspection services for the improvement of I-90 at I-290/Congress Parkway Jane Byrne Interchange – Jackson Boulevard Advanced Work. Work included, but was not limited to, construction of a new concrete retaining wall (016- 1827) on drilled shafts along the southbound direction of I-90/94 (Kennedy Expressway) extending from Van Buren Street to Jackson Blvd along the west side of the Expressway in addition to the advance partial demolition of the existing deck and piers of Jackson Blvd existing bridge over I-90/94 (except the abutments) for the future reconstruction of the new Jackson Blvd bridge (under a future separate contract) including the advance demolition of the entrance ramp to the Expressway. In addition, construction of drainage and new pavement near the Southbound I-90/94 ramp to westbound I-290 (Ramp SW), Southbound Taylor Street exit ramp and the southbound I-90/94 ramp to Inbound I-290 (Ida B. Wells Drive) - (Ramp SE).

Contract D-91-295-18 (Epstein):

lJob No. D-91-295-18, FAP 345 (IL 31) over US 20 (Lake Street) Interchange, Phase II Engineering Services, Kane County, Region One/District One. Phase II engineering services was required for the preparation of contract plans, specifications and estimates including TSL, structure and roadway plans for the replacement of the existing bridge structure carrying IL 31 over US 20 and reconstruction of the interchange ramp intersections. The existing single span 70’-10” long and 72’-2” wide bridge is expected to be replaced with a wider and longer two-span structure with the center pier located in the median of US 20 with integral abutments and slope walls. The proposed structure is anticipated to be approximately 175 feet ft. long and 100 ft. wide to accommodate left turn lanes in each direction in ILL 31 and future outside and inside shoulders on US 20. Right turn lanes have also been added from IL 31 to each entrance ramps. The vertical clearance has been increased to approximately 16”- 6”. ADA ramps have been placed at corners of every intersection. The Consultant’s work includes design of the partial interchange and temporary lighting, traffic signal modernization, provisions for pedestrian and bicyclist accommodations and drainage system improvements. The work includes topographic survey, geotechnical services and all other incidental work required to complete the project.

Contract V-91-012-22 (ESG):

Job No. V-91-012-22, Various Phase III Inspection of Pavement Marking and other Traffic Control Devices, Various Routes, Various Counties, Region One/District One. Past Phase III engineering services was required to assist department resident engineers/technicians on various pavement marking projects throughout the District One area. It is expected to require one (1) to two (2) engineers and/or engineering technicians to provide general assistance as field crew members during the 2022, 2023 and 2024 (if applicable) construction seasons. Typical assignments included, but was not limited to, general construction inspection, project finalization, and documentation of pavement markings, raised pavement markers, roadway signing, and all other work required for the project.

Contract V-91-013-20 (GULAID):

Job No. V-91-013-20, Various Phase III Construction Inspection Projects, Various Routes, Various Counties, Region One/District One. Past Phase III engineering services was required to assist department resident engineers/technicians on various construction projects throughout the District One area. Twelve (12) to Sixteen (16) engineers and /or engineering technicians are required during the 2020 and 2021 and 2022 (if applicable) construction seasons.
